Easter basket guide
I’m really excited to put together n Easter basket filled with Springtime favorites for both Lylah and Clay this year. Last year I was just recovering from surgery so it felt like a fog, but this year I was able to put more time into planning our Lent morning basket which you can read about here. I also love making a list of our Easter favorites and saving them to our Amazon storefront which is filled with products we have or are adding to our basket this year. As always, Easter is a time to remember Jesus resurrection so I love to include ways that tie in traditions with our faith life. The pressure of an Easter basket can often be tied to consuming distractions, a tight budget or one more thing for moms to do, but you are a memory making mama! What you do now counts for eternity and teaching your child about Jesus’ death and resurrection is the most important thing you can do.
If you aren’t sure where to start with a basket, I would recommend the book, “Easter is Coming” to read and teach. It’s so much fun to put together a few cute things that I know they will use and need in the coming months. If you are looking to do a basket, I am rounding up my favorite things.
As a guide, I normally stick to this list of items to include:
- Sunglasses
- New toy for the summer
- Something they need (pajamas, a new cup)
- A new book
- A swimsuit for the summer
- A stuffed animal
- A reusable basket to put it all in
